The recreation ground on Mikrofon Street in Hägersten, outside Stockholm is a popular place for people to run and workout. But since the beginning of this year, there have also been lots of children playing on horses, crocodiles, pigs and speedy slides. On this site, PCS has assembled and completed a two-storey pre-school, made of 34 pre-fabricated building modules. Work began in summer 2013, and was finished in the autumn. A great deal of thought has been put into creating large and imaginative play areas in outdoor spaces around the pre-school, a large proportion of which are covered. The pre-school building itself has space for six classes and more than 100 children in new, quality classrooms. There is of course also room for staff, as well as a kitchen where all food for the pre-school is prepared.
